Clinical Observation for the 120 cases of CVA

Abstract
Clinical observation was made on 120cases of CVA that were confirmed through Brain CT, MRI and clinical observation.
They were hospitalized in the oriental medical hospital of Kyung-san University from April to June in 1997.
1. The CVA cases were classified into the following kinds: cerebral, cerebellar infarction and transient ischemic attack are Group ¥° : cerebral, cerebellar hemorrage and subarachnoid hemorrage and epidural hemorrage are Group ¥±: The Group ¥² that is another disease.
2. The greatest in number among them were the Group ¥°.
3. The frequency of strokes was much the same between male and female cases and most cases were over 60 of age.
4 . The average time to visit oriental medical hospital was 0-2days after stroke and most patients choised oriental medical hospital first.
5. The predisposing factor of Group I were usually initiated during the time of sleeping and rising in the morning and those of GroupII chiefly during the time of exercising.
6. the most ordinary preceding disease and family history were CVA and Hypertension.
7. The durations of hospital treatment was less than 15days in the Group ¥° and 15- 50days in the Group ¥±.
8. The common syptoms were moter disability and verbal disterbance.
